The DigitalAsset Finder™ Platform ("DAF") is unique in the industry. DAF is built as a layer on top of an Enterprise Search Engine using the power of this technologies to deliver "Out of the Box" functionality and scalability available only from very expensive products in the industry.
DAF is the bridge that overcomes the chasm that exists between the Search Technology and access to all disparate data sources. DAF's architecture and its implementation methodology allows you to easily implement an enterprise search solution and add automatic classification technology for all data sources. By leveraging our web based Virtual FileRoom™ application and our open architecture "Out of the Box" you can roll out a successfull solution without major integration and development costs.
DAF is built using CDI's CADI™ Framework and delivers unprecedented content and data integration and accessibility "Out of the Box" that makes you successful at providing unified access through and Enterprise Search Solution to information repositories, document management systems, production systems, intranet and other "islands of information" throughout your organization.
DAF does not use a Relational Data Base System (RDBMS) to store its content and meta data. DAF's managed repositories are XML based and all digital files are stored at the file system level in their original form.

Virtual FileRoom™ (VFR™) is the newest member of the Finder product line, providing the same search functionality and benefits of DAF™ with a simple and easy to use interface. We have reworked the original VFR™ product created in 1997 into this new and exciting version.
VFR™ is configured in a two (2) and four (4) DAF or Folder Repository configuration with up to twenty five (25) named users. With VFR™ you can index multiple folders in your network and over 200 different file formats. Among many other files, with VFR™, you can easily index Outlook® message files found in the folders that make up any repository. In addition to the content of your message files, VFR™ will automatically index all the attachments contained in each message file it processes.
VFR™ has been designed from the ground up with the end user in mind, focusing the product in finding not only that one digital asset needed but also other digital assets it is conceptually related to.
VFR™ is simple and easy to use, it is just like using many of the most popular search engines on the Internet except you are searching on your own content without making any changes to the files or adjusting your file systems to help the product work. VFR™ will index every file it has access to, optionally render all supported files to PDF so your users will not need the application that created the file installed in their PC to see the file's content.
File access security is not a problem with VFR™. Files processed by VFR™ will have their Microsoft® access control list automatically indexed to enforce security. When a user logs in, VFR™ will access Active Directory® information and obtain the user's access control list enforcing file protection just as the operating system does.

Data Enhancement System™ (Patent Pending)
DES is a middle-ware product comprised of novel computer operated methods and systems simultaneously working with electronic content stored in Data Sources to enhance/enrich the content by using one or more automatic metadata generation technologies. DES' primary function is to enhance the value of electronic content in any data source by adding metadata to the content's properties. DES automatically delivers the content file and/or its enhancements to the "return address" of the content file. The enhancement/enrichment process is driven by rules managed by the organization and defined using DES and the automatic metadata generation technology used. VFR is a complete solution enhancing the business value of the information within your organization. VFR delivers access and collaboration through industry-leading, scalable search technology combining text and field search on a secure, need to know basis.
VFR supports any file format including image and video files. With automatic content-based indexing, VFR will index the text content of any file saved in the system as a “Content File” in addition to all the index fields associated by the user. Any file saved in the system as a “Content File” that does not contain any text (such as a video or image) VFR will index the index fields. Search options enable users to simultaneously access content through standard web browsers. Based on access control rights, users are empowered to manage, store and share content discovered through their search process. This provides unique and personalized views of information, regardless of its source and format.
VFR is easily integrated into all enterprise applications through its industry standard Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
