Custom Repositories are specific implementations for data sources such as RDBMS, MS Exchange® and others.

By monitoring predefined locations as the library's input queues, the information contained in these data sources can be made available from The DAF Platform™ as part of the repository domain available for each user. As content and security controls are pushed from external data sources, FinderManager™ indexes each file and its attachments while maintaining the physical locations of the digital assets in their specific data source.

This is a very simple and cost effective way to share information hidden in systems within your organization without given users access to them.  Increasing license expenditures and infrastructure costs to support an ever increasing data base centric application can be eliminated or significantly reduced.
